I've read it at least 100 times since then and now when I read it, it's like a relaxing bath. I love the stillness and the calm.
This is the first poem discussed in Love That Dog and I know I'm going to get some pretty intense reaction to it when we review it as a class. So, now as I develop these poetry sheets and add pictures for vocabulary words and think about "teaching" the poem, I'm thinking... maybe I should just let the poem do what it did for me. Maybe I just let it seep in slowly over time until it's attached.
